Ironsands Offshore Mining Limited (IOM) was established in August 2008 to explore and develop the rich iron ore deposits (ironsands) off the West coast of the North Island of New Zealand. IOM has a prospecting licence for an offshore area (tenement); between Fitzroy in the North and Oro in the South covering 2361 km2.
Pacific Offshore Mining Limited (POM) was established in January 2010 to explore and develop the ilmenite, ironsands, gold and silver deposits in the sediment off the East coast of the North Island of New Zealand. POM has a prospecting licence for an area offshore Waihi (tenement PP 52474) covering 2157 km2. This is located adjacent to the Martha Mine (a world class producing gold mine) owned by Waihi Gold (Newmont Mining)

Cass Offshore Minerals was established as the parent Company to both Ironsands Offshore Mining Limited and Pacific Offshore Mining Limited with the intentions of listing on the NSX/ASX/TSX to sell into the Asia Pacific, North American and European capital markets.
